About us
The International Fashion Institute “Izet Curi”, founded in 2014 in Skopje, North Macedonia, is a distinguished center for fashion education inspired by the legacy of world-renowned couturier Izet Curi. Following a celebrated career in Paris with fashion powerhouses such as Hermès, Thierry Mugler, Azzedine Alaïa, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Chanel,
Curi returned to Southeast Europe with a mission: to nurture and elevate the region’s fashion talent.
Our curriculum includes specialized programs in fashion design, pattern making, and couture techniques, taught by seasoned professionals active in the global fashion industry. Students benefit from an atelier-style learning environment that fosters personal mentorship, technical skill, and innovative thinking.
A defining feature of our approach is the emphasis on public exhibitions. Each March, students are given complete creative freedom to produce original work that reflects their personal vision, showcased in an open-themed exhibition. In June, we host a concept-driven exhibition, where all participants design around a shared theme, encouraging cohesion, interpretation, and deeper conceptual thinking.
In addition to these signature events, students also participate in regional showcases such as Fashion Weekend Skopje, gaining visibility and real-world presentation experience.
